CELLULAR JAIL
The Cellular Jail, also known as Kala Pani, is a mediaeval colonial prison in the Indian state of Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
When the British dominated India in the past, the prison was used.
This famous prison on Port Player, the capital of the Andaman Islands, was previously used by the British to hold political prisoners. It was first opened in 1896 and comprises 698 cells today, but parts of it were damaged by the Japanese during World War 2.
HAVELOCK ISLAND
Havelock Island is one of the most popular tourist attractions and things to do in Andaman. It is one of the largest islands in the archipelago and boasts some of the most beautiful and unspoilt natural characteristics. There are numerous activities available, including scuba diving, snorkelling, sailing, kayaking, and much more.
The interior of Havelock is densely forested, with large rice farms in between. During the rainy season, not all hotels are open, but there are enough to pick from during the high season – no need to book ahead.
RADHANAGAR BEACH
It’s an unforgettable curve of white sand surrounded by lush forest and palm trees, with perfectly coloured blue waters. It’s simple to relax on this postcard-perfect beach and watch the sunset, or go for a quick swim.
One would expect swarms of people racing to the beach due to its fame and prominence, yet surprisingly, Radhanagar remains mainly deserted when compared to other popular beaches across the world.
It’s easy to see why Time magazine titled the address Asia’s Speech. The picture-perfect white sands and turquoise blue waves run about two kilometres and are especially lovely at sunset. Whether you want to swim, walk, or simply sunbathe, this is the place to be.
ANTHROPOLOGICAL MUSEUM
In 1975, the Zonal Anthropological Museum in Port Blair was founded. It is one of the city’s greatest museums to visit. It’s a well-kept museum that teaches us more about the island’s indigenous cultures.
These tribes are also said to be among the world’s oldest. Onges, Sentinelese, Jarawas, Andamanese, Shompens, and Nicobarese are the six primary tribes endemic to the islands. These tribes have little interaction with the outside world, and little is known about them. On a regular day, entry to tribal lands is not authorised; instead, special permission is required.
This fascinating museum examines the several tribes who inhabit the Andaman Islands, providing insight into their history and culture. Diverse artefacts, tools, clothing, and weapons from various tribes and times can be seen.

CORBYN COVE’S BEACH
The coconut-palm fringed beach of Corbyn’s Cove, six kilometres from Port Blair town, is ideal for swimming and sunbathing. Here you will find amenities such as a hotel, restaurant, bar, changing room, and adventure water sports. On the route to the beach, historical relics such as Japanese bunkers can be viewed.
The quiet and pristine Corbyn’s cove beach near Port Blair is a delightful refuge from the city line, with coconut fields. Scenic drive past multiple Japanese World War 2 bunkers brings you to this little sand bend. Although crocodiles have been observed in the region, this beach is famous for scuba diving, surfing, and boating.
NEIL ISLAND
Neil Island is an unusual Andamans island with crystal clear waters and stunning white sand beaches.
Neil island’s pristine beaches are just as lovely as Havelock island’s, yet they are usually less crowded.
The white sand beach of Bharatpur is alive with tropical fish and coral reefs, making it a popular spot for snorkelling and scuba diving. Laxmanpur beach is well-known for its sunset vistas, but it also has some spectacular natural rock formations that can only be seen at low tide.
ROSS ISLAND
The Andaman Islands’ Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island, formerly known as Ross Island, is a small island. It is part of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands’ administrative district of South Andaman. The island is 3 kilometres east of the city of Port Blair. Tourists flock to see the old remains.
Ross Island is a small island off the coast of Port Blair. The British headquarters in the Andamans used to be on Ross Island. It was, however, abandoned after an earthquake in 1941 and a subsequent Japanese onslaught. Many bird and deer species now call the island home.

MAHATMA GANDHI MARINE NATIONAL PARK
The Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park is located on the island of Andaman and Nicobar, roughly 29 kilometres from Port Blair. Wandoor Marine National Park is another name for it. The Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park’s major goal was to safeguard the region’s marine species, particularly sea turtles and stunning undersea coral reefs.
This oceanic National Park stretches between Rutland Island and South Andaman Island, covering 280 square kilometres. Its unique environment includes 15 islands covered in green forest and mangrove, as well as extensive coral reefs known as the band or marine reefs. The National Park is a renowned site for scuba diving and watching dolphins.
NORTH BAY ISLAND
North Bay Island is a renowned tourist site in the Andaman Islands. This tour is usually included in both North Bay and Ross Island itineraries. You can also choose for a North Bay island cruise, for which you will need to lease a private boat from the Andaman water sports complex.
The boarding point for North Bay Island is now constantly shifting due to government regulations. Andaman Water Sports Complex is another name for it. Before going to North Bay Island, you’ll need to know where to get a ferry.
